UCLA PhD Career Event  -  March 11, 2009

UCLA is hosting a postdoc Career Fair Event to bring together interested company representatives and UCLA researchers with a variety of events designed to allow them to network and develop new collaboration and employment possibilities.

Career Events Will Include:

• Individual Company Info Sessions:
  Company recruiters will present informational sessions about their organization and answer questions. Schedule of sessions will be provided.



• Keynote Address:
  We are inviting a well-known speaker of great interest to the entire UCLA research community to give a special address to postdocs, faculty, and company guests. Watch for details on this event as they become available!



• Networking Reception & Poster Session:
  Following the Keynote Address, postdocs will be able to mingle with company representatives and the speaker, and present a recent research poster. This gives company representatives an opportunity to network with UCLA researchers and specifically invite postdocs to speak with their company at the Career Fair. This poster session is informal, so bring a poster from a recent conference, make one especially for this event, or use a group of small print-outs, it's up to you! Postdocs can browse through potential employer displays, ask questions to the organization recruiters, drop of resumes or pick up applications, and maybe set-up future interview at the company.
